Terms of Use
Last updated: October 28, 2026
Welcome to ShellMorphs (shellmorphs.com). By using this website you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What the site is for
ShellMorphs is a free tool that estimates the possible offspring of red-eared slider pairings and shows an illustrated incubation simulation. You may use it for your own personal, hobby or breeding planning.
2. Results are estimates
Results are based on standard inheritance and the information you enter. Real clutches vary. Morph names, genetics and how traits combine can differ between breeders and lines, and some combinations are not yet fully documented. Hatch days and male/female splits are rough estimates. The pictures are illustrations, not photographs. Do not rely on ShellMorphs as your only source when buying, selling or pricing animals.
3. Who may use ShellMorphs
If you are under 18, you may use ShellMorphs only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. ShellMorphs does not have accounts and does not ask visitors for personal information such as names or email addresses.
4. Animal laws and responsible care
ShellMorphs is a planning and education tool only. It does not sell, buy, ship or give away animals, and nothing on the site is advice that keeping, breeding or selling turtles is allowed where you live.
You are responsible for following all federal, state, provincial and local laws and rules that apply to you, including those on keeping, breeding, selling, trading, shipping, importing and exporting turtles and their eggs. For example, in the United States the FDA generally restricts the sale of turtles with shells under 4 inches long, and many states and countries have their own rules or bans because red-eared sliders can be an invasive species. Laws change, so check the current rules with the appropriate authorities.
Never release red-eared sliders or their eggs into the wild. Released sliders can harm native wildlife and spread disease, and release is illegal in many places. Turtles can carry Salmonella, so wash your hands after handling turtles, their eggs, water or equipment.
5. Ownership
The ShellMorphs website, including its code, design, artwork, illustrations, text, morph descriptions and genetics data, is owned by ShellMorphs and protected by intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved.
